Frailty-AVR Score (pre-TAVI prediction)
- Frailty–AVR Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The Frailty–AVR Score is a clinical tool developed to assess frailty in patients undergoing aortic valve replacement (AVR), including transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
It incorporates factors such as age, serum albumin levels, body mass index (BMI), functional status (measured by the Katz Activities of Daily Living scale), and mobility (assessed via the Timed Up and Go test).
A higher score indicates greater frailty and has been associated with increased risk of adverse outcomes following AVR procedures.
