Return-to-Work Prognostic Score (post-MI or CABG) Calculator
- Return-to-Work Prognostic Score (post-MI/CABG): Explanation and Clinical Context
The Return-to-Work (RTW) Prognostic Score is a validated tool to estimate the likelihood that patients will successfully resume occupational activities after myocardial infarction (MI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). It incorporates patient age, gender, job physical demand, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), and comorbidities to stratify risk.
A higher total score indicates lower probability of returning to work. This tool aids clinicians in planning rehabilitation, setting realistic expectations, and individualizing vocational counseling.
