  • Pheochromocytoma Perioperative Cardiac Risk Index (P-PCRI): Explanation and Clinical Context
This tool estimates the perioperative risk of significant intraoperative hemodynamic instability during adrenalectomy for pheochromocytoma by integrating preoperative clinical and CT-based predictors. Variables include age, BMI, tumor laterality, tumor shape, MAP score, necrosis, planned surgical technique, CHD status, and preoperative volume expansion. Higher scores indicate greater risk, guiding monitoring intensity and perioperative preparation.
