- E-CPET Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The E-CPET Score integrates cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) parameters with echocardiographic findings to assess the risk of adverse outcomes in patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).
It combines peak oxygen consumption (VO₂peak), ventilatory efficiency (VE/VCO₂ slope), right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF), and patient age to provide a comprehensive risk assessment.
This tool aids clinicians in identifying high-risk patients who may benefit from intensified monitoring or therapeutic interventions.
