Relative Wall Thickness (RWT) Calculator

  • About This Calculator

    Relative Wall Thickness (RWT) is a geometric index used in echocardiography to assess the pattern of left ventricular remodeling. It is calculated as:

    RWT = (2 × PWd) / LVEDD

    Interpretation commonly used in clinical practice:
    - RWT ≤ 0.42 → Normal geometry or eccentric hypertrophy
    - RWT > 0.42 → Concentric remodeling or concentric hypertrophy
