  • TVT Registry Mortality Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The TVT Registry Mortality Score is a validated tool developed by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Cardiology to estimate in-hospital mortality risk for patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
It incorporates patient demographics, comorbidities, heart failure severity, renal function, procedural access, and pre-procedural hemodynamic status to generate a predicted probability of in-hospital death.
Clinicians use this score for risk stratification, procedural planning, and shared decision-making with patients.
High-risk patients may benefit from careful pre-procedural optimization and consideration of access route selection.
