About 10-year ASCVD risk estimation

The 2013 ACC/AHA Pooled Cohort Equations estimate 10-year risk of a first hard ASCVD event for eligible adults without established ASCVD. The equations use sex-specific and race-specific coefficients and include age, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure and whether blood pressure is treated, diabetes, and current smoking.

The inputs in this page do not include blood-pressure treatment status. The original file also offers race/ethnicity categories that do not map to distinct PCE coefficient sets. These model and input gaps must be addressed before a local calculator can be considered clinically reliable.
