    The Burnout Screening Index provides a structured approach to evaluating symptoms associated with work related emotional stress. It incorporates three core dimensions emotional exhaustion depersonalization and personal accomplishment. Emotional exhaustion reflects overwhelming fatigue that reduces the ability to engage with work. Depersonalization represents a sense of detachment and diminished empathy toward patients or colleagues. Personal accomplishment describes the perceived effectiveness and satisfaction in professional performance. Higher emotional exhaustion or depersonalization scores and lower personal accomplishment scores correlate with elevated burnout risk.
