Cushing’s Syndrome Cardiometabolic Risk Score Calculator
- Cushing's Syndrome Cardiometabolic Risk Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The Cushing's Syndrome Cardiometabolic Risk Score is a tool designed to quantify the risk of metabolic and cardiovascular complications in patients with endogenous or exogenous hypercortisolism. The score incorporates common metabolic parameters including age, BMI, blood pressure, fasting glucose, triglycerides, and HDL cholesterol to stratify patients into low, moderate, or high cardiometabolic risk.
Patients with higher scores have an increased likelihood of developing cardiovascular disease, insulin resistance, and dyslipidemia. Clinicians can use this tool to identify high-risk individuals for closer monitoring, preventive strategies, or targeted interventions.
