DANISH Score (ICD Benefit Model) Calculator

  • Age (years)
  • Sex (1=Male, 0=Female)
  • Ischemic Cardiomyopathy (1=Yes, 0=No)
  • LVEF (%)
  • Diabetes Mellitus (1=Yes, 0=No)
  • NYHA Class (2-4)
  • DANISH Score (ICD Benefit Model): Explanation and Clinical Context
The DANISH Score is derived from the DANISH trial (Køber et al., 2016) to estimate the potential benefit of implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) therapy in patients with non-ischemic systolic heart failure.
It considers clinical variables such as age, sex, ischemic cardiomyopathy, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), diabetes mellitus, and NYHA functional class.
A higher score indicates a potentially higher relative benefit from ICD implantation, helping clinicians in risk stratification and individualized treatment planning.
