About Globorisk

Globorisk is a cardiovascular risk prediction model developed to estimate the 10-year probability of cardiovascular disease across countries.

The laboratory-based model uses age, sex, current smoking, systolic blood pressure, diabetes, and total cholesterol. The model was recalibrated for individual countries using country-specific cardiovascular event rates and risk-factor distributions.

This calculator uses the Indonesia laboratory-based risk chart and estimates fatal plus non-fatal cardiovascular disease risk.

Risk Chart Categories

<5% Lower risk band
5–9% Risk band
10–19% Risk band
20–29% Higher risk band
30–39% Higher risk band
≥40% Very high risk band
The risk bands above describe the percentage ranges shown in the Globorisk chart. They should not be interpreted as treatment thresholds by themselves. Clinical management should consider the patient's overall cardiovascular risk profile and relevant clinical guidelines.

Important

Globorisk was developed for individuals without a previous cardiovascular event. It is intended for cardiovascular risk estimation and should not be used as a diagnostic tool.

This calculator is specifically calibrated for Indonesia. Using the same risk-factor profile with a different country's Globorisk model may produce a different estimated risk because the model is country-specific.
