PET-CT Uptake Grading Score Calculator
- PET-CT Uptake Grading Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The PET-CT Uptake Grading Score is used to quantify the metabolic activity of lesions relative to reference tissues (liver and blood pool) in FDG PET-CT imaging.
Grade 0 indicates no significant uptake, Grade 1 indicates low uptake (above blood pool but below liver), Grade 2 indicates moderate uptake (equal to or above liver but less than twice liver SUVmean), and Grade 3 indicates high uptake (>2 × liver SUVmean).
This scoring system allows standardized interpretation of FDG avidity, useful for tumor characterization, treatment response assessment, and prognostic stratification.
