PROSPECT Echo Score (CRT Responder) Calculator
- PROSPECT Echo Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The PROSPECT Echo Score is designed to predict the likelihood of a positive response to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) based on echocardiographic and electrocardiographic parameters. Key variables include LVESV reduction percentage, QRS duration, mitral regurgitation severity, and left ventricular dyssynchrony index. Each parameter that meets a threshold indicative of non-response adds one point to the score.
A lower total score corresponds to a higher probability of CRT response, while a higher score predicts a lower likelihood of response. This tool assists clinicians in identifying patients most likely to benefit from CRT, optimizing device therapy selection and improving clinical outcomes.
