CHOP/Anthracycline Cumulative Dose Score Calculator
- CHOP/Anthracycline Cumulative Dose Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The CHOP/Anthracycline Cumulative Dose Score estimates the risk of anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity by calculating the total doxorubicin-equivalent dose from different anthracycline drugs, including doxorubicin, daunorubicin, and epirubicin.
Conversion factors are applied to account for differences in cardiotoxic potential: daunorubicin × 0.833 and epirubicin × 0.5 to obtain doxorubicin-equivalent doses.
Risk stratification is based on cumulative dose thresholds: <250 mg/m² (low risk), 250–400 mg/m² (moderate risk), >400 mg/m² (high risk).
This tool helps clinicians anticipate cardiotoxicity risk, plan cardiac monitoring, and adjust chemotherapy dosing.
