DANISH Score Calculator (ICD Benefit in Non-Ischemic Cardiomyopathy)
- DANISH Score: Explanation and Clinical Context
The DANISH score is a clinical tool developed to assess the benefit of Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implantation in patients with non-ischemic systolic heart failure. It incorporates three key parameters: age, New York Heart Association (NYHA) functional class, and NT-proBNP levels. These factors are combined to stratify patients into low, moderate, or high risk for sudden cardiac death, guiding clinicians in decision-making regarding ICD therapy.
