- ICOS Biomarker Model: Explanation and Clinical Context
The ICOS Biomarker Model integrates cardiac biomarkers and echocardiographic parameters to assess the risk of cardiotoxicity in cancer patients. Elevated levels of troponin (>16 ng/L) and BNP (>100 pg/mL), along with a reduced global longitudinal strain (<-18%), are indicative of increased risk. This model aids clinicians in early identification and management of patients at high risk for cardiotoxicity.
