Kidney Damage Risk Index (KDRI-H) Calculator

  • Age (years)
  • Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP, mmHg)
  • Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP, mmHg)
  • Estimated GFR (eGFR, mL/min/1.73m²)
  • Proteinuria (mg/g or g/day)
  • Kidney Damage Risk Index in Hypertension (KDRI-H): Explanation and Clinical Context
KDRI-H is a validated concept for estimating the risk of chronic kidney damage in patients with hypertension.
It incorporates clinical and laboratory parameters such as age, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and proteinuria.
The index allows clinicians to stratify patients into low, moderate, or high risk for renal injury, guiding intensity of monitoring, blood pressure control, and use of renoprotective therapies such as ACE inhibitors or ARBs.
Early identification of high-risk patients enables timely interventions to prevent progression to chronic kidney disease and associated cardiovascular complications.
