LV End-Systolic Volume Reduction Index (LVESVRI) Calculator
- LV End-Systolic Volume Reduction Index (LVESVRI): Explanation and Clinical Context
LVESVRI is a measure of left ventricular reverse remodeling, calculated as the percentage reduction in LV end-systolic volume (LVESV) from baseline to follow-up after cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT).
A reduction of >15% in LVESV is considered a marker of positive response to CRT and is associated with improved clinical outcomes, including decreased heart failure hospitalization and mortality.
This tool provides clinicians with a simple quantitative method to monitor ventricular remodeling and guide therapy optimization.
