CASPAR Psoriatic Arthritis Criteria Calculator
- CASPAR Psoriatic Arthritis Criteria Explanation and Clinical Context
The CASPAR criteria require established inflammatory articular disease as an entry requirement and then assign points for specific features. Current psoriasis is assigned two points. Other features each score one point. A total of three or more points classifies a patient for psoriatic arthritis in the setting of inflammatory articular disease.
These criteria were developed from a large international study and are widely used for classification in research and clinical practice. They are not a diagnostic algorithm by themselves and must be interpreted in the full clinical context including clinical examination imaging and laboratory testing.
